Finger Painting

We did finger paint.

I made a heart.

I made numbers.

 I made a flower.

 I made a spider.

 I made a spider too.

I made a fly. 

I made a house.

And I wrote letters by the house.

I made sqiggly lines and circles and things.

I used my finger nails.

Eggs

We had eggs.
We hunted them.
That means we found them.
There were lots of them.
We put them together, in one bucket.
Then we took some in our class.
We got to take them home.

Feast

We made a feast.
We made it for our class.
For our friends.
We counted how many plates we needed.



Then we made the food.

Then we put it in the oven to cook.
It cooked all day.

Then we took it out.
It was today.
We took the food out.

Then we made menus and invitations for our friends.
We made menus.
That said what we had to eat.
We gave our friends invitations to our feast.

Then our friends came to the feast.
We helped them find their seat.
Then we pushed in their chairs.
They are guest.

Then they read their menus.

Then ate their food.

Then put it in the cubbies.

They took their food home to go.

Then we went to the floor.

Mrs. V. read us a book.

It was about a feast.

Jazmin sorted the fruit.

She put all the apples together, pineapples, pears, bananas, grapes.

She left a spot for the oranges, but then didn't put them in the plate, because she went to breakfast.

New Year, New Friends

Today was our first day with all our new friends at school.
This week, we had four days of staggared start, only having a few friends each day, until today.
On Monday, we met Josiah, Jarod, and Christian.
On Tuesday, we met Barbara, Jazmin, and Laisha.
On Wednesday, we met Alex, Eduardo, and Erik.
On Thursday, we met Leah and Jayden.
Each day, we learned about our school day, learned about how our classroom worked, and spent a lot of time getting to know each other.

Today, we all were here. All eleven friends and two teachers.
We all worked in centers.

We all learned about group time.

We all learned about our friends Suzy Circle, Rosie Red, and Barbara Blue. We all met "Baby" Gregory (He isn't really a baby any more). We said "Hello" to all of them. We learned that we are all in Pre-K, but one day we are going to go to college. We learned about the calendar. We figured out what the weather was. We learned new songs and dances. We tossed the ball and tried to remember our friends' names.

We learned about fire drills, and practiced a fire drill.
We went outside. We learned about our playground rules.
We read about little Llama. He went to school, too. He missed his Mama.
We had lunch.
We washed our hands, a lot.
We took a rest.
We had a great day!
