Drop Down Castle

We made a castle.
It is a drop down castle.
You drop the stuff through it.
Then it goes to the bottom.
It makes noise.

Insects

Ever since we found Percy, we have been learning about insects.
We have learned about where insects live.
We have learned about what insects eat.
We have learned about how insects are born.
We have learned about different types of insects.
We found out that all bugs are not insects.
We have made stories about insects.
We have read books about insects.
We learned that insects have three body parts, six legs, two feelers. Some have wings, some don't.

And our most favorite thing, we have sorted by insects and not insects.

Playdough

Some friends worked with playdough today.
Some friends made letters, some friends made things.

Cristian made a C. C is his letter.

Jonathan made a J. J is his letter.

Elier made an E. E is his letter.

Elier also made a lowercase R. He has a lowercase R in his name.

Jarell made a doughnut.

 Rosmar made a lowercase R. She has a lowercase R in her name.

Ariana made her mom. She said her mom isn't this color, but it is her mom. 

Musical Blocks

We made music.
In blocks.
We spelled names.
Like V O I G T.
That's your name, Mrs. Voigt.

Comfy and Cozy

We can rest. 

In our centers.

If we get tired.

We can go in the box. 

It is fun.

We can go in and be quiet. 

But just one friend. 

No more. 

It is the best box. 

It has circles on it. 

Albert lives in there.
Like a bear cave. 

We have blankets.
We use them at rest.
They keep us warm.
In our class, it can get cold.
The blankets keep us warm.

We have people who care a lot about our class. Mrs. Voigt's father-in-law built us our cozy corner, and Mrs. Voigt's mother-in-law's quilting bee made us our nap blankets. We are so fortunate to have these donations to our classroom. Each of our little friends will get to keep their nap blanket at the end of the school year.
