When I Grow Up

We have spent a lot of time this year talking about being a life long learner.
We talk about learning in school, learning in the world around us, and learning through experiences.
We talk about how learning is fun, exciting and meaningful.
We talk about how important it is to go to school every day, do your best, and make achieving choices, while you're in Pre-K and even when you get older.
Each day, we talk about how we're in Pre-K now, but one day, we're going to grow up and go to college and be something great!

Over the past two weeks, we have really focused on learning about different jobs and careers that we can do when we grow up.
We read books about different jobs and careers.
We pretended in Dramatic Play that we had different jobs and careers.
We made a list of the things that we would like to be when we grow up.
It was hard to decide exactly what we want to be when we grow up, but we decided that it is ok if we change our minds.

Alex wants to be a teacher.

Barbara wants to be a teacher.
Christian wanted to be a train conductor, now he wants to be a police officer.
Eduardo wants to be a train conductor.
Erik wants to be a doctor.
Ganea wants to be a Nana and an artist.
Jarod wants to be a dress maker.
Jayden wants to be a teacher.

Jazmin wants to be a doctor.

Josiah wants to be a computer lab man.
Laisha wants to be a teacher.
Leah wants to be an actor.

We are in Pre-K, but one day, we're going to go to college to be something great!!
